Intertek appoints new scientific director for immunochemistry to expedite clients’ biopharmaceutical development.
San Diego, United States – Intertek, a leading quality solutions provider to industries worldwide, appoints Dr Manju Saxena as Scientific Director at Intertek’s Immunochemistry Centre of Excellence in San Diego, USA.
Dr Saxena’ experience spans 20 years managing and directing discovery and bioanalytical projects in global contract research organizations and pharmaceutical development companies including Amylin Pharmaceuticals and Kirin Pharma USA.
Dr Saxena will lead scientific strategy at the Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) compliant laboratory in San Diego, and will be responsible for enhancing the design, validation and transfer of bioanalytical assays supporting discovery through to late phase programs for clients developing biopharmaceutical products. In November 2014, a newly, expanded, purpose-outfitted facility spanning 46,000 square feet of laboratories and offices at Wateridge Summit, San Diego, California will become operational with a formal launch to follow in 2015.
