Bruker opens Centers of Excellence in India

Analytical instrument provider Bruker marks 40 years of involvement with R&D in India by opening two Centers of Excellence.

Bruker (MA, USA) has recently announced the opening of two Centers of Excellence in India to correspond with its growing presence in the country and the demand for multi-technology platforms.

Initially installing NMR and FT-IR systems, Bruker will now provide India with a range of services such as NMR, Atomic force microscopy, X-ray diffraction, elemental analysis and spectroscopy. The company is expecting to generate US $50 million in revenue from the sites in Mumbai and Bengaluru, which will employ over 100 members of staff to provide sales and service capabilities across most major cities.

According to Frank Laukien, President and Chief Executive Officer at Bruker, “With this significant investment in our two new Centers of Excellence, Bruker has taken a major step forward in India to provide highest-level support for the outstanding and rapidly growing Indian research, industrial and clinical communities.”

The company have reportedly chosen locations proximal to strong Indian pharmaceutical companies, clinical research centers, academic institutions and other manufacturing industries, to strengthen research collaborations between Bruker and key customers in India.
