Antibody–drug conjugates

0

Welcome to the Bioanalysis Zone Spotlight on antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs)!

ADCs are dynamic, heterogeneous mixtures typically consisting of a cytotoxic drug covalently bound to a monoclonal antibody via a synthetic linker.

There has been increasing interest in ADCs as they have the potential to allow targeted delivery of anticancer drugs to tumors, with minimal impact on normal tissue. This interest is highlighted by a robust pipeline of ADCs in pre-clinical and clinical development.

The heterogeneity and dynamic nature of ADCs raises unique bioanalytical challenges, which will be explored as part of the Spotlight.
