Peptide mapping and quantitative analysis require workflows which deliver high levels of data quality while balancing the needs of sample throughput and compliance to regulation. During this presentation we will describe how advances at each stage of the workflow, from advanced sample preparation techniques, faster and more efficient separations, combined with highly sensitive HRMS systems and data processing, enable robust, fast, sensitive and highly reproducible workflows.
What will you learn?
- New sample preparation technologies
- Advanced UHPLC
- HRMS and data processing
- How to enable robust, fast, sensitive and highly reproducible workflows

Mike has held his current position at Thermo Fisher Scientific since 2010, being responsible for the development and introduction of new innovative technologies such as SOLA™ to the market place. Prior to this, Mike was responsible for biotechnology sales within the UK and provided application solutions for proteomic and metabolic workflows based on high-resolution LC–MS platforms. Mike holds a PhD in MS and Biochemistry from the MS Research Unit, University of Wales, Swansea, UK.
Rainer Bauder, BS, is a HPLC solutions manager, pharma and biopharma markets, for Thermo Fisher Scientific. He collaborates closely with pharmaceutical laboratories and application chemists to develop new chromatography solutions and workflows. Rainer has been with Thermo Fisher Scientific since 2004 and is located in the larger Boston area (USA).
Jessica earned a BS and a MS degree in chemistry in Jilin University, China and a PhD degree in analytical chemistry at the University of California, Riverside focusing on anti-cancer drug DNA molecular biomarker study and the quantitative proteomics analysis of 6-thioguanine induced changes in human leukemia cells in order to explore the mechanism of the cytotoxicity of thiopurine drugs. She joined Thermo Fisher Scientific in 2010 as an application and demonstration chemist then moved into marketing as Senior Marketing Specialist for Biopharma Applications within the Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Division.
