About

Summary
The International Reid Bioanalytical Forum will be holding a one-day training workshop on Thursday 27th September 2018 at Burlington House, Piccadilly in conjunction with the South East Region Analytical Division (SERAD) of the Royal Society of Chemistry. The workshop is aimed at early-career scientists, or those transitioning from small to large molecules, who are looking to enhance their bioanalytical skills. The training session will discuss the issues associated with the analysis of large molecules and cover chromatographybased challenges.

Aims and Objectives
Aim: To introduce chromatographic challenges associated with large molecules and bioanalytical troubleshooting for biotherapeutics through a
combination of lectures and worked examples. At the end of the course, participants will be able to:

• Approach bioanalytical problem solving in a stepwise and structured way
• Present investigational strategies to project teams or line-management

The course will be an opportunity for participants to work through bioanalytical problems related to protein therapeutics in a workshop environment
supported by experienced mentors. Attendees have the opportunity to present their own case studies for discussion (see below).
For more information please email [email protected]

Call for Abstracts
Applicants are invited to present a case study as part of the workshop. Successful applicants will be appointed an experienced mentor from within
the industry to assist with the preparation of the case study to be presented. It is not necessary that the problem presented as a case study has been
already been solved. Please contact [email protected] if you are interested in submitting a case study.

Student Bursaries
Student supervisors are invited to apply for bursaries (including free attendance and agreed travel expenses for both UK and non-UK residents) on behalf of PhD students carrying out research in bioanalysis or a relevant analytical discipline.
