The 6th Open EBF Symposium “Moving Forward Together” is to be held in Barcelona from 20–22 November 2013.

The European Bioanalysis Forum (EBF) recently released their first call for speakers for their 6th Open Symposium to be held in Barcelona in November.

The meeting will cover four major themes. ‘Regulations’ will allow discussions on new or emerging guidelines. ‘Technology and process improvement’ will promote discussions on recent developments in microsampling, electronics, miniaturization, assay transfer and flow cytometry. ‘Increasing the added value of connectivity outside bioanalysis’ encourages non-bioanalytical experts to present on disciples adjacent to the field such as biobanking, sample shipment and companion diagnostics. Finally, various new technologies and their impact on bioanalysis will be discussed under the theme: ‘The impact of new technologies, strategies and requirements on the day-to-day execution of bioanalysis’ – technologies such as the tiered approach in practice, parallelism and bioassays.

Sessions at the conference will surround these four themes; with the conference’s full title as: “Moving Forward Together – Science, Technology and Regulations Embracing New Paradigms”.

In their recent newsletter, EBF urge speakers to submit their applications before 26th May 2013, with posters submitted before 15th September 2013. Accepted speakers will be confirmed in mid-June.
