Method transfer: giant leap of faith or well-trodden path?

0

“…a clear threat to successful method transfer is where cost containment measures prevent appropriate exchange of knowledge, resource, oversight and experimentation.

The importance of successful and meaningful method transfers will inevitably become a more frequent challenge to bioanalysts. Asset ownerships are changing much more often as larger numbers of collaborations and partnerships in drug development occur. The increasing use of global outsourced resource will drive the frequency of method transfers, both across and within projects. It is therefore surprising that, despite numerous regional bioanalytical guidelines that have proliferated in recent years, there does not appear to be a standard approach for this important activity.
