A global leader in the provision of clinical data management technology, OmniComm Systems Inc. (FL, USA), has been selected to provide a major contract research organization (CRO) with electronic data capture software and services. The terms of the deal outline how OmniComm’s TrialOne® system will be utilized by the CRO.

The system will be used by the CRO in the standardization of clinical development programs, in addition to ensuring regulatory compliance and allowing greater operational efficiency, speed and quality of clinical research processes within its clinics.

“With this project award, TrialOne’s position as the market-leading eSource solution for Phase I clinics is now solidified,” commented Kuno van der Post, OmniComm’s chief commercial officer. “We are absolutely thrilled to have been selected, more so as it comes after a period of significant investment within OmniComm in both product quality and highly skilled support resources. The timing could not have been better.”

A number of automated clinical trial processes across multiple clinics will be implemented by the CRO using TrialOne. The system will be used to recruit and screen subject participants in study design and collection, as well as the analysis and reporting of data. Project initiatives in the future will include interfaces with clinic equipment such as blood pressure sensors and electrocardiogram devices.
