Conference report: the 7th China Bioanalysis Forum Annual Meeting

BA JThis article summarizes the highlights from the 7th China Bioanalysis Forum (CBF) Annual Conference in June 2019. The annual CBF conference provided a great platform for the Chinese bioanalytical community to discuss the current bioanalytical regulations, share challenges and experiences. With rapid growth of the pharma industry in China in the past decade and advancement in regulatory reform, the overall science and quality of regulated bioanalysis have now reached international standards. The CBF continues its efforts in promoting scientific excellence, quality and regulatory compliance in China and facilitating close collaboration with the international bioanalysis community.

2  Editorial: new development of the Chinese bioanalytical landscape and update of the China Bioanalysis Forum (CBF)

BA JChina’s drug innovation and development activity experienced rapid growth in the past decade, driven by huge unmet medical and patient needs, strong inflow of venture capital and a favorable state policy on innovation. China is establishing a regulatory environment with global standards for drug development. This article summarizes China’s regulatory changes, plus provides an update on the China Bioanalysis Forum (CBF) and progress on Regulated Bioanalysis in the country. The CBF has achieved its objectives in the past 6 years sharing technical knowledge and regulatory experience among the bioanalytical community. The CBF will continue its effort to promote scientific excellence, high quality and regulatory compliance in China and anticipates more close collaboration between itself and the international bioanalysis community.
