Bio-Techne releases new ultra-sensitive assays on the Ella platform
Global life sciences tool provider Bio-Techne (MN, USA) announces the launch of Simple Plex Ultra-Sensitive Assays on the Ella™ automated benchtop platform, enabling femtogram-level detection of neurological biomarkers.
The extremely low abundance of neurodegenerative disease biomarkers in accessible biofluids means that subtle, early biological changes are often missed, making early detection of these diseases challenging. The new, ultra-sensitive assays from Bio-Techne aim to overcome this barrier with improvements in analytical sensitivity and reliable quantification of key biomarkers such as NFL, GFAP, pTau217 and Aβ42, biomarkers relating to neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s, ALS, MS, Parkinson’s and traumatic brain injury.
The assays build on the proven performance of the Ella platform, which has been cited in more than 200 peer-reviewed, neurology-focused publications and is widely adopted in translational and clinical research.
