[FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE]

January 15, 2026

The Bioanalysis journal and Bioanalysis Zone team proudly announce the release of the 6th edition of The Bioanalysis Glossary, a must-have reference tool for scientists engaged in bioanalysis and related fields. This latest edition builds upon the success of its predecessor, featuring new terms and an updated section encompassing commonly used equations by bioanalysts across the industry.

“Since its creation, the Bioanalysis Glossary’s primary objective has been to facilitate the standardization of terminology used within the bioanalytical community, within and between companies, universities and individuals. In this increasingly globalized field, it has become necessary for scientists to speak the same bioanalytical language,” commented Jack Lodge, Journal Development Editor of Bioanalysis

A valuable resource for those in the field of bioanalysis, The Bioanalysis Glossary aims to keep you up-to-date on the latest terminology and equations within the bioanalytical space. To ensure the utmost accuracy and comprehensiveness, we have worked closely with 15 prominent bioanalytical experts to provide a thorough update, reflecting the dynamic and constantly evolving nature of bioanalysis.

The Bioanalysis and Bioanalysis Zone team are very much committed to ensuring we keep moving with this progressive field and stay reflective of emerging novel techniques in bioanalysis. This updated edition includes over 30 new terms and a section of commonly used equations by bioanalysts across the field.

“Another defining moment in bioanalytical history. I hope that coming to terms with this new edition of the Bioanalysis Glossary will be meaningful to us all,” commented Robert MacNeill, Scientific Director at Bristol Myers Squibb (NJ, USA).

We would like to extend our gratitude to the members of the Glossary Editorial Panel for their invaluable assistance, advice and guidance, as well as to our Sponsors, Alturas Analytics, Celerion, KCAS Bio and WuXi AppTec, whose generous support has made this edition possible. Additionally, we would like to thank the Bioanalysis and Bioanalysis Zone readers, contributors and Editorial Board members for their continued support. As we move forward, we remain committed to updating this glossary with relevant new content and timely amendments to ensure the accuracy and relevance of every definition.
