About

The 16th JBF Symposium will be held from March 3rd to 5th, 2025, at the Himeji Culture and Convention Center (Arcrea Himeji).

The theme for the symposium is “Bioanalyst Network: Spread and Circulation of Knowledge”. This theme symbolizes our commitment, based on the principle at the JBF foundation to provide a platform for discussion and interaction among bioanalysts in academia, industry, and government. It aims to restore the interaction among bioanalysts that has diminished during the COVID-19 pandemic, and to discuss and share knowledge about rapidly evolving scientific technologies and vast insights.

In recent years, the proliferation of AI and social media has made it easier for us to access desired information but has also led to the circulation of sophisticated misinformation, such as deepfakes, causing increased confusion. In such times, obtaining accurate information requires connections among experts and sharing of the precise knowledge. JBF is the sole expert group on bioanalysis in Japan, deeply discussing the cutting-edge topics and disseminating the information globally. With a common goal of fostering deep connections among individuals in various fields related to bioanalysis and contributing to the advancement of the healthcare and the analytical chemistry, we have crafted the theme to create a venue for sharing and cultivating knowledge.

The symposium program will include fundamental courses (LC/MS, LBA, statistics), invited lectures on the key topics, the poster presentations, discussion group (DG) presentation, and the exhibitions and the seminars by the analytical equipment vendors and the contract research organizations. Additionally, we are planning a new initiative, the iDG, where all participants can engage and discuss more openly and in casual manner. The topics for invited lectures include the latest information in mass spectrometry, immunogenicity assessment, antibody-drug conjugate evaluation, biomarkers, ICH-M10, ICH-S12, data integrity, and quality assurance.
