About

The 54th International Symposium on High Performance Liquid Phase Separations and Related Techniques (HPLC 2025) will be held from Sunday through Thursday, June 15-19, 2025, in Bruges, Belgium.

The HPLC symposium series is known as the world’s leading conference on liquid phase separations and their hyphenation with advanced detection technologies, including mass spectrometry and data treatment. In Bruges, the program will kick-off in the splendid Concert Hall on Sunday and will, from Monday on, be continued in the neighboring, brand new BMCC conference center, where we will offer you a timely and forward looking scientific program.

The HPLC 2025 conference will have a strong focus on industrial research as well as on the automation of the analytical lab and its data flows. Early-career participants will be able to engage in dedicated poster and flash presentation competitions and will be offered a maximum number of oral presentation slots and a broad selection of educational workshops and tutorials. The combined exhibition, poster sessions, and catering hall will serve as the central hub of the conference, ensuring a lively and engaging atmosphere. In addition, a separate networking track will be offered to participating lab managers and decision-makers where they can share experiences and contemplate on the future of their labs.

General Scope

Next to offering the newest in all liquid chromatography-related research (including sample prep, detection and data analysis), the HPLC 2025 will have a strong focus on today’s and tomorrow’s practice in the industry HPLC labs. While academic research in chromatography advances more slowly than in the past, the number of HPLC professionals in industry keeps growing. Moreover, an increasing fraction of these chromatography practitioners didn’t receive their primary training in chromatography and separation science. We therefore believe the HPLC conference series can be a unique place where chemical analysts active in industry can expand their chromatographic knowledge, learn about new automation and data processing methods and, above all, learn from each other’s experiences. In the same vein, we will also provide a rich program for professional growth.

Celebrating the 54th International Symposium on High Performance Liquid Phase Separations and Related Techniques, the program in Bruges will also give full credit to the “Related Techniques” extension because liquid chromatography is seldom the only separation technique in the analyst’s toolbox. The conference will therefore also offer the broadest platform, involving dedicated sessions and tutorials, to related separation sciences such as preparative chromatography, SFC, GC, FFF and other particle separation techniques.
