HsinPin Ho

HsinPin Ho is a Principal Scientist of Precision Medicine, Bioanalytical and Translational Sciences at Bristol Myers Squibb’s Lawrenceville site in New Jersey (USA). In her role, HsinPin leads in-house, GLP-compliant LC–MS lab operations, supporting bioanalytical PK for BMS development candidates. Her work is particularly focused on time-sensitive and challenging projects. HsinPin also oversees assay development, validation and sample analysis conducted at CROs, providing scientific and strategic guidance across drug development stages.
Before joining BMS, she spent +10 years in bioanalysis using mass spectrometry. HsinPin received her PhD in Analytical Chemistry from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York (USA). Her key areas of interest include LC–MS bioassays of drugs in biological matrices, regulated bioanalysis in pharmacokinetics, CRO outsourcing management and mass spectrometric methodologies from small molecule drugs to biologics.
What three things would you take if you were stranded on a desert island?
- A knife
- A phone with my family’s pictures, a predownloaded map and a survival guide
- A solar-powered charger
If you weren’t a bioanalyst, what would you be?
- I taught science in a middle-high school previously.
What is your favorite city?
- Québec City — it’s beautiful, atmospheric and full of stories.
Why have you decided to become a Zone Leader?
- I have always found energy and inspiration in Bioanalysis Zone, especially when we are deep in problem-solving mode. Every challenging project reminds me how much I enjoy the teamwork and innovation to make an impact. I am looking forward to sharing what I have learned and learning from others who feel the same.
