Rapid immune-profiling displacement assay developed to assess immune response

Researchers report on a novel deterministic lateral displacement (DLD) assay able to rapidly assess inflammatory responses in the host. This would allow patients exhibiting life-threatening immune responses to be identified for rapid treatment. The label-free assay was developed by a team from Critical Analytics for Manufacturing Personalized-Medicine, an interdisciplinary research group at the Singapore MIT Alliance for Research and Technology (Singapore).
