Strategic partnership aims to streamline single-cell analysis workflow

A strategic partnership integrating BioSkryb’s ResolveOME™ technology with Tecan’s Uno Single Cell Dispenser™ aims to create a streamlined workflow that accelerates high-throughput single-cell analysis.
BioSkryb Genomics (NC, USA), a biotechnology company specialized in next-generation single-cell technology, is partnering with Swiss laboratory instruments and solutions provider Tecan Group (Männedorf, Switzerland) to support high-throughput single-cell analysis. Through this partnership, BioSkryb’s 384-well format of the Whole Genome and Transcriptome Single-Cell Core Kit will be combined with Tecan’s Uno Single Cell Dispenser to offer an integrated solution for parallel analysis of individual cells at high resolution, meeting the rising demand for single-cell multiomics approaches.

BioSkryb’s ResolveOME is a comprehensive tool for single-cell multiomic analysis, which provides genome variation data with transcriptional layers of information, shaping a more complete picture of the drivers and consequences of clonal heterogeneity within cell populations. However, its sample input requires single-cell isolation. The current workflow is achieved by time-consuming sorting techniques such as fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS). Meanwhile, the Uno Single Cell Dispenser™ is a compact, automated benchtop that can quickly and accurately dispense single cells in tiny volumes (from microliters to picoliters). This simple device can be a better substitute for FACS. Both groups are working together to create a fully integrated workflow that simplifies cell isolation and reduces manual handling.
“By reducing the need for complex cell sorting methods like FACS and streamlining the entire multiomic analysis process, researchers can obtain deep genomic and transcriptomic insights with minimal hands-on time. Our partnership with Tecan supports the scalability required to analyze thousands of single cells in a single experiment, expanding the potential for high-resolution biological discovery,” explained Suresh Pisharody, Chief Executive Officer of BioSkryb Genomics.
The streamlined workflow prioritizes automation, scalability and user-friendly operation, breaking down traditional barriers in high-throughput single-cell analysis. By combining precise reagent handling and digital cell dispensing with multiomic chemistry, researchers can now advance their research and accelerate the path from discovery to treatment.
“Pairing BioSkryb’s ResolveOME chemistry with the Uno Single Cell Dispenser allows researchers to efficiently scale their single-cell studies while maintaining high data quality and reproducibility. Uno’s precision dispensing capabilities and broad compatibility also make it an ideal addition to other single-cell workflows, providing flexibility as research needs evolve,” commented Mukta Acharya, Head of Tecan’s Life Sciences business division.
