Xevo TQ-S: Breaking Industry Barriers

In association with Waters Corporation, Bioanalysis Zone is pleased to present a series of topical webinars highlighting the important challenges and information needs facing the bioanalytical community.

Simon Noble and David Neville (Quotient Bioresearch) talked about their decision to purchase two Waters Xevo TQ-S instruments, including the test data obtained that enabled them to confidently switch instruments. They also shares their experiences of day-to-day operation of the Xevo TQ-S.

Any analytical laboratory that has an established platform for LC-MS/MS knows how difficult it can be to move to a different technology. Not only are there training implications but there are also costs associated with additional service contracts to consider. Sometimes the barrier to change is too high in relation to the benefit of changing. At Quotient Bioresearch the decision to purchase two Waters Xevo TQ-S tandem quadrupole mass spectrometers was not taken lightly and we will discuss some of the test data we obtained that enabled us to change with confidence. We will finish by sharing some of our experiences with using the Xevo TQ-S in day-to-day operation.

Topics covered:

  • Challenges of changing MS platform at a CRO
  • Experiences with the Xevo TQ-S.

Who attended:

  • CRO / Laboratory managers
  • Scientists requiring high-sensitivity LC-MS/MS.
