Two companies join forces for protein measurement by combining their technologies.
SISCAPA Assay Technologies (SAT) has recently signed an agreement with Agilent Technologies. Under the agreement, SAT will provide complete systems for automated protein measurement and quantitation, combining SAT’s SISCAPA (Stable Isotope Standards and Capture by Anti-Peptide Antibodies) for targeted protein quantitation with Agilent’s Bravo automated liquid handling platform and LC–MS systems.
Yvonne Linney, Vice President and General Manager for Agilent’s Life Science Solutions Division, commented, “Agilent is pleased to partner with SISCAPA Assay Technologies, the leader in targeted protein quantitation, to offer researchers an integrated solution with simplified user interface, high-precision, sensitive quantitation and enhanced productivity.”
Addition-only trypsin digestion followed by anti-peptide immunocapture enrichment has been developed for the Bravo platform. The process enables preparation of 400 multiplexed samples per working day, with mass analysis carried out using Agilent’s triple quadrupole MS instruments.
“This agreement enables our customers to combine the selectivity of anti-peptide immunocapture and MRM-MS to carry out quantitative protein measurement with high precision and minimal user intervention,” stated Selena Larkin, Vice President of marketing and sales at SAT. “As part of this complete solution, SAT will offer all the components required to implement the workflow as well as provide technical support for assay execution.”
