Recently, there have been various mass spectrometric innovations for obtaining additional selectivity coming to commercial realization for quantitative bioanalysis. For instance, interfacing ion mobility spectrometry with tandem quadrupolar detection, or using a linear ion trap scan function to attain an extra fragmentation step to bolster the already imposing selectivity of regular SRM [1,2], also the increasing use of quantification using high-resolution mass spectrometry [3,4].
