International Women’s Day: an interview with Birgit Hutter-Paier


Birgit Hutter-Paier, Head of Neuropharmacology, QPS (Graz, Austria) Birgit Hutter-Paier joined QPS in 2012 and is currently serving as Head of Neuropharmacology. In this position, Birgit leads a large team of scientists, directing multiple concurrent complex pharmacology projects in early preclinical stage. Together, they have created state-of-the-art labs, as well as a behavioral pharmacology testing facility. Of note, the team has developed transgenic and non-transgenic rodent models to aid research into many CNS diseases, mainly in Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease.
