New biopsy technology developed to aid multiple tumor tissue biomarker analysis

A University of California, Irvine (UCI, CA, USA) research team has developed new biopsy technology capable of profiling multiple tumor microenvironment biomarkers simultaneously. Current single biomarker biopsies do not have the ability to analyze a variety of biomarkers and often fall short of accurately predicting patient outcomes. With this new technology, clinicians and scientists will now have a patient-centered view of the numerous immune and cancer cell types in tumor tissues, allowing for better patient prognosis and treatment for the future.
