Pharmaceutical Product Development introduce their new technology at the ‘Partnerships in Clinical Trials’ conference.

Pharmaceutical Product Development (PPD) have recently announced a ‘Comprehensive Data Solution for Biopharmaceutical Companies’. The technology, known as PPD® InVision, combines and standardizes data from various sources, allowing clinical trial data to be more easily reviewed.

US-based research organization PPD provide management services to companies in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, along with academic and government organizations. Vice president of global biostatistics, programming and medical writing at PPD, Niklas Morton, explained the advantages of their technology, “PPD InVision compiles patient and metric data from electronic data capture, interactive voice response system, pharmacovigilance, central lab and third-party vendor data into a data warehouse where it can be viewed in real time through interactive and visual dashboards.”

The technology was unveiled at the ‘22nd Annual Partnerships in Clinical Trials US’ conference in Orlando (FL, USA) in May. Demonstrations will be available at the ‘Partnerships in Clinical Trials’ conference held in Orlando in June. The package includes, “a clinical data repository, improved standards around EDC and statistical outputs, a combination of in-house and onsite monitors, the PPD cross-functional data liaison and interactive dashboards for data visualization.”
