ICON announces new Chief Marketing Officer

Robert Howie Jr. has taken the role of Chief Marketing Officer at the Ireland-based company, ICON.

ICON (Dublin, Ireland) has appointed Robert Howie Jr. as the new Chief Marketing Officer of the company. Howie joins the organization after having gained a strong background in marketing, business development, market research, publishing and communications. Prior to taking up the role at ICON, Howie was the Managing Director and Chief Marketing Officer at US-based company, the Palladium group, Inc. (MA, USA), which specializes in providing organizations with strategy and technology consulting services. Howie co-founded Palladium alongside Robert Kaplan and David Norton, and, during his time at the company, played a crucial role in the promotion of the Balanced Scorecard, a strategy performance management tool, which currently stands as the dominant framework, worldwide, for executing organizational strategy.

Before joining Palladium, Howie held positions in senior management at ISS Corporation, DMR Group, Yankee Group, Exxon Office Systems and Houghton Mifflin Company.
