Abstract Derivatization in LC–MS Chemical derivatization is a unique approach for optimizing analytical methods that can improve the physicochemical properties of analyte molecules. Derivatization is important for some analytes used in LC–MS, which is an indispensable technique of analytical chemistry. In this editorial, I am going to write about recent advances, trends and future prospects of derivatization techniques for enhancing LC–MS sensitivity.
