26th International Reid Bioanalytical Forum – program announcement

8–11 September 2025, The Cambridge Belfry, Cambourne, Cambridge, UK.
Presented by the Forum Syndicate of the Chromatographic Society.
The Belfry Hotel in Cambourne will once again be the venue for the 26th Reid Bioanalytical Forum, where the organizing committee is thrilled to be celebrating the 50th Reid anniversary.
There will be presentations and discussions on cutting-edge science, and we will be presenting a supportive environment for early career bioanalysts, all performed in an inclusive and congenial atmosphere. There will be a single stream of oral presentations covering a mix of new technologies, emerging trends in bioanalysis, together with regulatory aspects. Participants will join from pharmaceutical companies, contract research organizations, agrochemical companies, instrument manufacturers, academia and anywhere else that bioanalytical science is practiced.
26th Reid lecture program
The in-person conference program will run from Tuesday 9 September to midday on Thursday 11 September 2025. The conference has once again attracted a number of world-renowned speakers on topical subjects in bioanalysis. The conference also prides itself on providing emerging bioanalytical professionals the opportunity to present their solutions to complex bioanalytical problems.
The conference program will cover topics in the following areas:
- Bioanalysis of the future
- Regulated bioanalysis
- Bioanalysis beyond pharma
- Bioanalysis beyond LC–MS
- Bioanalysis beyond the lab
- Open sessions
Amidst the rapidly developing program, notable speakers currently include:
- John Robinson (Intertek; London, UK) – ‘Considerations in developing an immunogenicity assay for anti-drug and Anti-PEG antibodies to ADC’
- Ian Wilson (Imperial College London, UK) – ‘An investigation of the pharmacokinetics, metabolic fate and effects of Gefitinib and PROTAC-Gefitinib-3 in the rat’
- Gregory Hamm (AstraZeneca; Cambridge, UK) – ‘The emerging role of mass spectrometry imaging and spatial omics in advanced bioanalysis’
- Jason Wrigley (Astech Projects; Runcorn, UK) – ‘How much can, or should, I automate? What is the future of lab automation, and can we remove humans totally?’
- Mark Bayliss (North Bristol Hospitals Trust, UK) – ‘A novel generic approach to the analysis of labile phosphate metabolites of antiviral pro-drugs in dried blood spots using column switching anion-exchange/HILIC-MS/MS’
- Laura Creed (Resolian; PA, USA) – ‘Navigating complex sample pre-treatment in immunogenicity assays to improve drug tolerance – a CRO perspective’
- Philip Timmerman (EBF; Barcelona, Spain) – ‘EBF reflections: rethinking bioanalysis in a changing world’
- John Lin (Frontage Laboratories; PA, USA) – ‘Implementing an integrated, paperless framework to enhance bioanalytical laboratory compliance and efficiency’

26th Reid mentorship programme and poster sessions
We will be hosting a session on ‘Beyond the Lab’ introducing our new mentoring programme, which is not to be missed. We will also have poster sessions accompanied by the authors making short presentations to entice us all to ask questions and interact.
Evening social events
At the heart of Reid is providing opportunities to establish new contacts and meet old friends. Our 2025 proceedings will keep this tradition going as we celebrate our 50th anniversary, where we’ll have plenty of networking opportunities planned in the evenings, including a quiz night, an off-site dinner at Peterhouse College in Cambridge, and a casino night.
Exhibition
A vendor exhibition will be held on Tuesday 9 and Wednesday 10 September, allowing delegates to keep abreast of the latest developments relevant to the field of Bioanalysis.
If you would like to exhibit at the meeting or sponsor an event, please contact Tim Sangster: [email protected]
Training course on cell & gene therapy
The Reid Bioanalytical Forum will be preceded on Monday 8 September by a training course on cell & gene therapy (CGT) for a maximum of 20 delegates, led by Daisy Yuill (AstraZeneca), Johannes Stanta (Consultant) and Robert Nelson (BioAgilytix; NC, USA), each widely recognized for their expertise in CGT bioanalysis and translational strategy.
Course Synopsis
Whether you are refining your CGT assay toolkit or just beginning to navigate this complex space, this workshop is designed to meet you where you are — and take you a step further.
It will provide real-world context on why bioanalysis matters; a summary of key tools of the trade such as qPCR, flow cytometry, ELISpot (not just the theory, but how they work/fail in real studies); hands-on interactive exercises, live polls and small-group case study design exercises; common pitfalls and practical fixes. It is going to be a practical, fast-paced, and deeply relevant course, with attendees leaving with templates and checklists for their next CGT study and more.
