New high-speed COVID-19 test to be made available nationally

In a new multicenter study, scientists demonstrate that a high-speed COVID-19 test has 94 per cent sensitivity and 100 per cent specificity. The test can be performed at a patient’s bedside and is currently being used successfully across eight London Hospitals. A 90-minute COVID-19 test, called CovidNudge, which can be performed at a patient’s bedside, in cartridges smaller than a mobile phone, has been shown to have a high level of accuracy and produce no false positives and very few false negatives.
