“HRMS is an important tool and the latest generation of systems are having a lasting impact and positive benefit to everyone focused on improving human health.”
High-resolution MS (HRMS) has long been a critical tool for the determination of molecular formula. Improvements in commercial instrumentation over the past two decades have been remarkable and created much excitement in the world of bioanalytical chemistry. The improvements include more sophisticated scan modes, software tools and increased ease of use. Analytical laboratories must undergo continuous process improvement, which dictates that in the future HRMS will replace many existing selected reaction monitoring (SRM) applications, in order to further increase efficiency.
